The hotel is a stone's throw away from the Queen Street Mall, opposite the Treasury Casino and for many guests the convenience of the location was second to none and could not be beaten. These commented featured prominently across reviews from a number of sites.

A number of guests stayed here as business travellers and these guests commented that it was close to their meetings and many options for their morning coffee and their evening meal; with a host of restaurants and bars close by.  Business travellers also commented that check-in was quick and smooth.

The staff at the hotel rated highly among those guests who left positive reviews about the hotel.  Guest commented that the staff were very helpful and friendly going above and beyond their duties to make sure that they had an awesome stay.

The lack of any obvious cleaning service was not appreciated by many who stayed here, both on check in and throughout their stay guests complained that the rooms has not seen any attention as the result is a plethora of comments about how dirty the property is.

Guests commented on a number of things that they were not happy with collectively their comments left them disappointed in their stay at the hotel. Common bug-bears included no daily room servicing, no fresh towels and no additional towels for the pool, that a hefty bond deposit was taken, that dvd players not working and broken fixtures and fittings which needed attention.

Guests who like peace and quiet and quick access to their rooms were annoyed and frustrated at the amount of noise coming from the air conditioning units outside of their rooms and the fact that there were only two lifts for the volume of people on the hotel made for a slow entry and exit.
