Friendly welcome and just to make sure you don’t miss it, breakfast is announced by telephone! Surprised more guest houses don’t do this.

Spotlessly clean and nice rooms with lots of character and you can’t beat those views to the White Cliffs of Dover. Beds are extremely comfortable.

There is car parking to the front of the guest house and there are no night time restrictions on street parking. It’s not just cars though. They’ll look after groups of cyclists too by storing their cycles in a private garage. They’re very accommodating here.

Only to be expected but light sleepers should request a rear room, just to be on the safe side!

Access to rooms involves stairs to climb, sometimes several flights. Not ideal for infirm or disabled guests. Also, if leaving very early for your ferry(?) expect to miss out on breakfast.

There is a faded theme which is emphasised by really elderly and not entirely inviting en-suites. Also, if in a non-en suite room, the bathroom is along a public corridor and it seems, can be used by anyone, not just you!
