Williams is a nice little town, and this hotel is right in the middle of it. Many guests loved that the hotel location makes it easy to enjoy restaurants and nightlife within a real short walking distance. If you like the Route 66, Williams is a town that embraces the historic highway with some attractions dedicated to it. The Grand Canyon is about an hour of drive from here.
As every room is different this hotel has a lot of charm. Guests described the rooms as clean and comfortable and even if they had a room with a shared bathroom things worked well for them. The location was the first hotel in Arizona and has kept its historic core while providing guests nice lodging facilities.
Many guests had good things to say about the manager and staff. Though front desk hours are limited they will provide excellent customer service and are there to help you with recommendations or directions to attractions.
As the train station is not far away and this hotel is in the middle of Williams guests felt this location has too much noise to be great. You might want to pack earplugs if you want to get a good night's sleep.
Being a historic house many of the rooms are smaller than in a big chain hotel. If room space is an issue for you this might not be the right location for you.
Some rooms seem to have window units which have been described as noisy. A fan alone might not do a lot of good in a hot Arizona night. If you can't sleep when it's hot this is not the place to stay in the summer months.
