In the centre of the old town of Cottbus, the Sorat Hotel Cottbus opened in March 1995. The friendly hotel is situated at the Schlosskirchplatz in the Cottbus pedestrian zone. It is part of the construction project "Quartier am Schlosskirchplatz", where an entire district of the town has been restored, thus having become one of the most attractive locations in Cottbus. The entrance of the Sorat Hotel Cottbus is located in a restored turn-of-the century building, its stucco front facing the Schlosskirche church. Most of the guest rooms are in a newly built appendix and feature modern design. 98 rooms are an easy-to-overlook size and enable personal contact with the guests. All rooms are equipped with a minibar, desk, TV, air condition, shower/bath, full-length mirror and hair drier. The sumptuous breakfast buffet offers a great variety for every taste, from cereals and scrambled eggs to salmon and sparkling wine. In the beautiful historic cellar arches, a bar and a charming restaurant have been installed. Accommodating 50 persons, it is also ideal for private meetings. Six business rooms in the Sorat Hotel Cottbus are suitable for small meetings up to 10 persons.
