The hotel is centrally located with both the beach, the lighthouse and Wollongong's city centre being within easy walking distance. Local restaurants as well as an Aldi and Woolworth supermarket are also close by and golf enthusiasts will enjoy the convenience of an on-site golf course.

Guests found the apartments to be spacious and well presented with a fully equipped kitchen for those who wished to self cater as well as including a furnished balcony to relax on. Many of the apartments also overlook the greenery of the golf course.

Guests have described the front desk staff as friendly and courteous and both helpful and attentive.

Guests reported that the building is in need of refurbishment and in particular noted that the carpets need replacing and the walls are over due for repainting. The apartment furnishings were found to be old and dated and some rooms smelled of stale cigarette smoke.

While the apartments are equipped with air conditioning, guests reported that only certain rooms are fully air conditioned. Guests noted that the bedrooms in particular can become uncomfortably hot during the summer months.

The housekeeping service provides a hit and miss service with guests reporting a variety of problems. Complaints included that some of the furnishings were dirty, dishes were found to be dirty and needed to be cleaned before use, and the bathrooms were not cleaned to a high standard. In some cases mould was found growing in the bathrooms.
