Positive Reviews
positive:
The spa is a treat.
There’s nothing like adding a spa day to your holiday agenda, especially when you can have that spa treatment and then just head back to your room for a cat nap. With a large menu of massage and beauty treatments at your disposal, you may want to opt for more than one.
positive:
The staff is awesome.
There’s nothing that the staff at Petwood Woodhall Spa won’t do for you. From the moment you check in, the dedicated, friendly staff is there to help you with most any request. They are happy to point you in the direction of entertainments and eateries and regale you with the history of this property and the surrounding area.
positive:
Pets are welcome.
It’s wonderful that pets are allowed at this hotel, especially if you like to travel with your favourite canine companion. Your dog will love it too, because there are so many great walks to be had just outside your door.
Negative Reviews
negative:
The food is pricey.
The food at Petwood Woodhall Spa is not only pricey but it’s also hit-or-miss when it comes to taste and presentation. Also, the service is on the slow side, especially when the restaurant and bar are crowded.
negative:
The hotel is mid-facelift.
This property is mid-facelift, and while some of the guest rooms have been re-done, many have not, leaving you with mouldy showers, tried furnishings and worn carpet. Be sure to ask for a renovated room when checking in.
negative:
Things can get noisy.
The walls at this hotel are rather thin and you can often hear your neighbor as clearly as if he were standing right next to you. Add to that, noise form the construction taking place on property and you have the makings of a less-than-quiet stay.
