positive:
Central location in this historic Cornish town.
The Wellington Hotel enjoys a convenient location in the ancient mining town of St Just, so that you can easily stroll along the high street and try out the various restaurants, cafes and bars on offer. If you're feeling energetic, Cape Cornwall is just a 30 minute walk away along quiet country roads.
positive:
Great value rooms that cover all the bases.
The rooms here are offered for a reasonable rate so you might not expect too much in the way of comfort. To the contrary, you'll enjoy comfortable furnishings and modern appliances which make this place worth every penny.
positive:
Top quality traditional food on the menu.
The pub downstairs serves a variety of traditional British meals and other favourites from across the world. You'll enjoy large portions, fresh ingredients and an all-together hearty meal when you dine here.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Staff struggle to keep up with demands.
The staff here mean well and do their very best, but it seems that they are not trained to the highest standard. When the hotel is busy you could wait a long time for room service or any other request.
negative:
The pub downstairs can get a bit noisy.
On the downstairs floor of the Wellington Hotel is a public house which local folk regularly drink in. While the atmosphere is warm and inviting, you could be kept up by the noise downstairs when you need to get an early night.
negative:
The free Wi-Fi doesn't reach all of the rooms.
The free Wi-Fi here works best in the pub downstairs and you're unlikely to get a signal in any of the rooms upstairs. This is a real pain, especially if you want to stream a movie or need to use the internet for work.
