The rooms at the Travelodge Peterborough Alwalton have been recently refurbished and guests seem to be reasonably pleased with the results. You won't be spoiled with the choice of amenities but they put the basics close at hand. Guests find the beds are comfortable.
positive:
Cheap room rates
Perhaps above all else, guests appreciate the low cost of staying at this hotel. The room rates here are certainly attractive to anyone who wants to keep their spending down. Guests appreciate not having to pay extra for parking and for some guests, at least, the 30 minutes of free Wi-Fi was adequate.
positive:
Good service
The service offered by the staff attracts positive feedback from guests. The welcome to the hotel is consistently warm and guests mention that the staff seem to go out of their way to ensure a comfortable stay is enjoyed by everyone.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Traffic noise
Guests mention that rooms at the front of the hotel are subject to some traffic noise from the A1. On the flipside, rooms at the rear of the property are found to be quiet with views of fields and sheep. What a contrast! Do your best to get a rear facing room to be guaranteed a bit of peace.
negative:
Housekeeping concerns
Although guests typically find the rooms are clean and comfortable, there do appear to be some shortcomings in the housekeeping service. Guests occasionally mention cobwebs, less than thorough hoovering and items left over from previous guests.
negative:
Limited amenities
As stated, the choice of amenities provided in the room is rather limited. Furthermore, guests mention that those provided don't really cater for more than one guest. Rooms have just one chair, the number of towels is too meagre and you may find yourself asking for more tea and coffee.
