Hotel TownePlace Suites Orlando Altamonte Springs/Maitland (Altamonte Springs, USA)

The area, generally, is busy and commercial, so there's no shortage of places to eat, including, directly opposite; the Longhorn Steakhouse. The hotel is easily accessed, just off I-4. Check in is simple and there's no hassle associated with parking up.

Rooms are relatively clean + better than many at similar prices. Beds are comfortable, linen and towels are of a nice quality and self-catering is a pleasure with the fridge and microwave. Breakfast, too, is a cut above what you might expect and includes an impressive range of choices.

Very friendly and efficient; they really go out of their way to ensure that you are happy. This applies particularly to those on the front desk and in the breakfast area.

Rooms aren't cleaned to any acceptable standard and bare foot walking on these floors results in black feet. Rooms smell and the culprit is mold. It's white mold on the furniture; contrasting with the black grime on the floors! No attempt has been made to remove the mold or clean the floors. Air conditioning makes a lot of noise but doesn't function properly and there's a plumbing related problem, resulting in the toilet refusing to flush.

There are some very strange looking people hanging around this area. It doesn't inspire confidence.

At first glance everything seems clean and OK. Turn on the bathroom light though and just watch those cockroaches scuttle away! You probably won't want to extend your stay here.
