Positive Reviews
positive:
Definitely the views
Without any doubt whatsoever, it is the gorgeous views over the Mediterranean that guests most appreciate about this hotel. It is set in a dramatic location with uninterrupted views. Together with the exquisite gardens and quiet setting, guests seem almost to become mesmerised by the endless sea.
positive:
Exemplary service from the staff
Though there are some occasional complaints, the overwhelming majority of guests consider the hotel's staff to be the very epitome of professionalism and class. Most agree that they meet the very high standards of service required of true luxury hotels.
positive:
Great room decor
Very unusually, there didn't seem to be any complaints about the décor from among a large number of reviews. On the contrary, many guests went out of their way to praise it. It seems the Oriental-French fusion is well liked.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Restaurant has a fairly limited menu
Interestingly, while most guests did enjoy the food at the restaurant, many felt the range of dishes offered was just a bit too limited. Even good food, if eaten day in and day out could get a bit boring. There are additional dining options, but they are at a sister property some distance away.
negative:
A bit far from Cannes
Cannes is some distance away by car, and the immediate area does not have a wealth of bars and nightlife to offer. Some guests were definitely expecting a bit more life in the area, and were disappointed they had to take along, and expensive, taxi into Cannes to experience this.
negative:
No on-site bar
While drinks certainly are available on the terrace, a couple of guests did miss the presence of a full bar, with its atmosphere and camaraderie. The nearest bar is at their sister property.
