Guests commented on the hotel staff as being attentive and helpful. Wedding party guests were thrilled at the level of service and would certainly recommend. The on-site wedding planner received quite a few good reviews for precision planning and execution. Guests found the staff at the restaurant to be very friendly and helpful, and the breakfast and dinner menu selection was described as delicious and excellent.

Guests expressed how the hotel is perfectly located in the centre of surrounding attractions and also is well placed within beautiful gardens which made for a relaxing stay. They also thought the parking facilities was a great touch.

Some guests found the staff to be unhelpful with providing help with their luggage, as the hotel is set over three floors with no lifts. Some guests experience of staying at the Thatcher’s Hotel, described it as pretty bog standard. Guests also expressed concerns at not getting great value for their money.

Guests also made comments on the atmosphere in the breakfast dining area as being non-existent and not very relaxing. The breakfast seemed to be a great disaster for a few guests, as there was a limited selection on offer, that's outdated and overpriced. Guests also highlighted concerns with the dinner served in the restaurant as being poor.
