The staff at many large hotels has a reputation for being too formal. But not here. The staff here goes out of their way to make staying at the hotel feel like a home away from home. Some long-time staffers even remember the names of guests when they visit later.

The hotel is located on the corner of North Sathorn Road with rooms that face the City of Bangkok or the beautiful Lumpini Park. Its proximity to the large city makes it relatively easy to shop around.

A few guests have reported they suffered long delays when trying to check into Sofitel So Bangkok, with some saying they found their rooms not ready when they checked in at the pre-arranged time.

While most guests feel that the quality of food served at the hotel is great, some have reported that some of their favorite dishes such as bolognese, pasta dishes and dauphinoise potatoes were not up to standards.

The hotel has gone to great lengths to provide Apple Mac Mini entertainment centers in the rooms and most guests appreciate the gesture. Some, however, felt that the hardware and software in the devices was outdated and failed to run properly on some occasions.
