positive:
Clean and tidy rooms
There are a few minor niggles with the rooms but the majority of guests found the accommodation was clean, tidy and equipped with a decent selection of amenities. The variety of accommodation options available means that parties of most sizes can be accommodated.
positive:
Good quality food
Guests tend to enjoy their dining experience. It's typical pub grub on the menu but guests enjoy the choice of items available, as well as the quality of the food. Meals are found to be reasonably priced, so there's a good chance you'll enjoy value for money when eating on-site.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Rigid breakfast service
Although guests tend to enjoy breakfast, some did find the staff a little rigid when it came to serving it up. Breakfast, although pitched as available until 9 am, actually finishes at 9 am (on the dot). You'll need to be seated by 8:30 am.
negative:
Some noise from the bar
You can reasonably expect to hear some noise from the bar. The Red Lion is the only pub in the village, so it gets pretty busy at times. Unfortunately, visitors are allowed to leave by a door near the bedrooms, so you might hear a rowdy exit too.
negative:
Wi-Fi may be an issue
A small number of guests found that the Wi-Fi wasn't up to all that much. It seems to be okay for basic tasks such as checking emails but you may struggle if you need to get some work done.
