About Prado Villas
Located in a peaceful spot about two miles from the beaches, Prado Villas offers self catering accommodation to guests looking for a quieter holiday.
There are 18 two bedroom villas on the property. Each features fully fitted kitchen, air conditioning, in-room safe and satellite TV.
The star at Prado Villa’s is undoubtedly its pool terrace with central garden. There are sun beds and also lovely shady treed areas for when the sun gets a bit much. Reception is on hand to help with tours, transfers and golf bookings. There is free Wi-Fi around the reception area, and also free parking on-site.
There are no restaurants in the complex, but those who are not self-catering can ask reception staff for good local dining recommendations.
The Prado Villas abuts the Moura Golf Course, with its academy, driving range and putting green. Falesia Beach, a favourite with kitesurfers, is 2.3 miles away.
Positive Reviews
positive:
Very peaceful and quiet area
While this didn't suit everybody, many guests mentioned that what they liked most about the complex was that it was small and remote. To them this meant that they could have a quiet, peaceful break without the intense energy and noise typical of a big resort.
positive:
Very spacious
Several guests commented that they were more than happy with the amount of space they had for their party, describing the villas as spacious and airy. They certainly didn't feel as if they were crammed into the smallest possible space.
positive:
Great pool terrace
This was probably guest's favourite part of the complex. Although the pool is unheated, and therefore only usable for a few months a year, many guests just liked the atmosphere, and would spend much of the day sunning themselves by the pool.
Negative Reviews
negative:
A bit far from the attractions
While some liked the peace and quiet, others would have preferred a bit more action. The reality is that the complex is small, and is situated in a quiet area close to a golf course. It is not anywhere near a nightlife zone. Guests looking for a lively atmosphere will be disappointed.
negative:
Desperately in need of renovations
This is perhaps the most common, and most serious, issue guests had with the complex. It is nearly universally described as very far past its due date for a major refurbishment. While not described as falling down, it was considered dated enough that guests may not return unless renovations are completed.
negative:
Reception only open limited hours
Strangely, the reception is described as being closed entirely at weekends, and open limited hours during the week. This did make some guests book-in procedures a bit more stressful and disjointed than it could have been.
