The rooms have been individually designed and are very grand, with enormous four poster beds. Each features en-suite bathroom with hairdryer. The rooms facing the back are quieter and have lovely views over the Blackdown Hills.
There is a small guest lounge available, with roaring fire going in the wintertime. The hosts are always on hand to assist with local information and other services.
The Caught in Thyme Restaurant uses the very best local ingredients to create hearty country food and is popular far and wide. There is also a small bar which serves drinks and lighter meals.
Honiton is well known as a centre for lace and antiques, and is just three miles from Moncton Court. The cathedral city of Exeter is about 24 miles away.

Beds are grand and comfortable
It seems that guests did appreciate the care that had been taken in selecting the right beds and mattress. They are quite grand, most being four poster's, and guests were impressed with both the comfort they delivered, as well as the feeling of being in a very grand place.

Road noise in front facing rooms
Monkton Court is situated in a tiny village, and is on the main road into Honiton. The road was described as moderately busy, and guests in some of the front facing rooms said that the noise of cars zooming by at night did disturb their sleep.

Issues with the heating
Though Monkton Court has several fires going in winter, quite a number of guests mentioned that their rooms, and the hallways outside, can get a bit cold, especially late at night. In their views additional heating was required.

While most guests absolutely loved the very grand beds, it was mentioned that they are very high off the ground. As are result, those with mobility issues may have difficulty getting in and out.
