Cheap rates
Though of course rates vary based on demand, several guests felt that they got a very cheap rate. While there was no shortage of issues they listed, some felt that if one simply needed a cheap place to crash for a night this might be a decent option.
positive:
Very accommodating pet policies
It seems that those traveling with their pets were by far the happiest category of guest. Of course the La Quinta Group is well known for their very pet friendly hotels, and this one was certainly no exception. Guests felt happy to be in a hotel that welcomed them with many other guests who had also brought along their four legged friends.
positive:
Good restaurant selection nearby
Considering the location on the outskirts of town, some guests had clearly been concerned that they would be unable to find good places to eat nearby. They needn't have feared, since a number of guests reported that there were some great restaurants nearby, even within walking distance.
Negative Reviews
negative:
In desperate need of a makeover
From potholes in the parking lot, to walls that need repainting, dings, scratches and holes in the walls, guests were certainly not shy about listing why they concluded htat the hotel was in desperate need of a full and complete renovation.
negative:
Very poor breakfast
Guests really didn't seem to have much positive to say about the breakfast. For a start it was described as very limited, without enough variety to satisfy even easily pleased diners. Secondly, some felt that even what was offered was not well prepared and presented.
negative:
Some issues with staff attitude
While not a very common experience, it seems that a number of guests experienced some rudeness from reception staff, which was a bit trying, especially after what was often a long journey.
