Grand Hôtel des Thermes Brides-les-Bains (Brides-Les-Bains, France)

While of course you cannot ski all the way down to Brides-Les-Bains, guests mentioned that the hotel was close to the gondola that whisked them higher up the mountain to Meribel in no time at all.

Though some were unhappy they had to pay extra, those using the pool said, though it was small, it was lovely, and gave them a welcome contrasting activity after a few days of skiing. Likewise, the spa was said to offer treatments that helped with all those sore muscles.

Whatever other issues guests may have had with their rooms, their size certainly wasn't one of them. The rooms were described as surprisingly large, with no reports of four people squashed in to a tiny area getting on each others nerves.

It seems there was a bit of confusion surrounding the use of the pool. Several guests insisted that the hotel's marketing materials made no mention of an extra charge for this, and were very disappointed to learn that they would be expected to pay extra if they wanted to use it.

A surprising number of guests mentioned that they arrived at the hotel late and could find nothing to eat. Dinner was said to end quite early, and it seemed that there were no other dining options at hand, at least not in the hotel..

While the staff did also receive numerous compliments, there were far too many complaints to be ignored. Guests speak of various problems when engaging with staff members, including out-right rudeness and even claims that they purposefully tried to overcharge them.
