Negative Reviews
negative:
Train Traffic
Train traffic seems to be the biggest complaint among guests, from rooms on the lower floors, with trains running every hour. The railroad tracks are located on the back side of the building. If you're a light sleeper, ask for a room facing away from the trains or on a higher floor. Always bring earplugs as a precaution.
negative:
Poor Layout
Each Fairmont room is unique. Unfortunately, some of the ones at The Fairmont Palliser are not well laid out. Guests say they felt cramped, even though their room wasn't tiny. Some bathrooms, however, are too small for many guests' liking, and their bad layout makes it worse. A few guests also mentioned TV is hard to watch. It is too far from the couch and at an uncomfortable angle from the bed.
negative:
Wait For Water
While most guests have had no complains, a few did mention having problems with hot water in the shower. The water had to be running for several minutes before it became warm enough.
