The rooms are thoroughly modern, but have rustic exposed stone and brick. They are elegantly furnished and feature all the practical amenities you’ll need, from air conditioning to coffee makers. Guests can relax and socialise in the cosy lobby area, with roaring fire in winter. Bibliophiles also have a library where they might find that great novel they had never heard of. Le Tournebroche Restaurant uses local organic ingredients, even including honey from its rooftop beehives, to create excellent tasty and environmentally conscious meals. Cappuccino and espresso is available free of charge around the clock. Being in the heart of the Old City, most attractions are not far from Hotel du Vieux Quebec. The imposing La Citadelle de Quebec is just 800 yards away.
A fairly typical comment from guests went something like “The hotel is listed as a tree star hotel, but we felt like it deserved a much higher rating”. The hotel may be small, and so not have all the amenities of larger properties, but guests felt that it more than made up for this in the level of service t offered and in many other ways as well.
Guests absolutely loved being in such a central position. They had, after all, come to see Quebec City’s historical attractions, and perhaps enjoy its dining, which is considered some of the best in Canada. They were happy that all the attractions were so nearby, and also mentioned the added atmosphere of staying in the historic core.
