Hotel bE SixFifty (Toronto, Canada)

Although many guests noted the small size of the rooms at this pod style hotel, most found them well designed with features that made use of limited space. They described the accommodations as modern, attractive and surprisingly luxurious. The shower facilities with cascading water features and Italian glass and stone work also drew positive comments.

Guests noted that in Toronto where hotels can be on the expensive side, bE SixFifty offered the convenience of a downtown location at an affordable price. Complimentary breakfast, Wi-Fi and the use of an iPad were welcome features.

Guests cited a number of instances in which the staff of this hotel went out of their way to be of service. Information on what to see and where to eat in Toronto was particularly appreciated.

While the hotel's web site describes bE SixFifty as a pod style boutique hotel with rooms carefully designed to maximise space, the arrangement did not work for some guests who found the rooms uncomfortably small and cramped with insufficient room to move around or to unpack clothes.  Bathrooms were also criticised for not having enough space to store toiletries. Some guests said the hotel's web site should offer more realistic pictures and description.

Hard and uncomfortable beds, insufficient blankets that were far too thin, and cold rooms were problems for some guests.

Some guests were disturbed by the sounds of slammed doors, footsteps on the stairwells and conversation in the hallways.
