Set in an XVIII° century renovated mill along the Sorgue River, the Bastide Rose Boutique Hotel is located 2km from the town of Le Thor, close to l’Isle-sur-la-Sorgue in Provence. The hotel grounds are surrounded by islands and house a sculpture park and an outdoor swimming pool. Bastide Rose is also home to the Pierre Salinger Museum. Pierre Salinger was a world famous journalist who served as John F. Kennedy’s Press Secretary. Bastide Rose offers air-conditioned bedrooms, suites and a private cottage. Each includes an en-suite bathroom plus a flat-screen TV with satellite channels. The cottage enjoys a private terrace overlooking the Sorgue river and a very large, romantic fireplace in the living-room. The Chef of “Au Gusto“, the hotel’s restaurant, prepares a different menu each day to please the wishes and diets of the guests. All meals are prepared using the freshest ingredients discovered at the local farmers market and from fruits and vegetables grown on site. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served on the terrace, the deck along the river and in the conservatory dining room.
