About Barcelona Apartment Mila
Centrally located in the bohemian Gracia district, Mila Apartments offers uber-chic accommodation to those who appreciate modern design.
The apartments are stylish and very well furnished, but have an understated décor that doesn’t assault the senses. Each features fully equipped kitchen, separate sleeping and lounge/dining areas, in room safe, washing machine and flat screen TV.
This is more an apartment rental, rather than an apart-hotel. There are few public facilities, though there is a reception which is open 24 hours. Small dogs are allowed on application.
There are no on-site dining options, but those who are not self catering should ask reception for the best and most up to date dining recommendations.
The immediate area has an interesting street and cultural life, but the big ticket attractions are not too far away. Catalunya Square is 1.4 miles to the south, and the Sagrada da Familia is just a mile from Mila Apartments.
Positive Reviews
positive:
Interesting neighbourhood
While perhaps not an area tourists typically stay in, and a short distance from the centre, guests really seemed to like the Gracia district. They said it had an interesting streetlife, and all the cafes, bars and other amenities they needed.
positive:
Apartments are very spacious
Whatever other small issues they may have had with the apartments, the guests certainly did not feel that they were too small. On the contrary, many expressed their astonishment at the large size, saying that they were more than big enough for their whole group.
positive:
Apartments are very well equipped
While there were one or two contrary opinions, the overwhelming majority of guests found the apartments very well equipped. They seemed to want for nothing, and could quite comfortably whip up a meal with what was available in the kitchen.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Check-in at another property
It seems that a large number of guests had trouble during check-in. It is conducted at another property some distance away, and the procedure often seemed to confuse and frustrate all concerned.
negative:
Very noisy at night
This was perhaps the most common complaint. Many guests found their apartments incredibly loud. The street noise was said to be particularly bad, and there was also talk of a nearby club that stayed open until late.
negative:
Problems with the card keys
An extraordinary number of guests reported having problems using their card keys. While it was bad enough not being able to get in, the fact that the problem could only be dealt with in another property entirely was a major source of irritation.
