Positive Reviews
positive:
Good location for Amalfi's main sites
While Amalfi is a small place, many guests found this family-run hotel to be especially well-situated for the town's main sites. The famous Duomi di Amalfi is just steps away from the property, but for those who wish to explore the area's maritime charms, the ferry port - from which you can catch a sightseeing boat to the famous Emerald Grotto - is also within close walking distance.
positive:
Lovely rooftop views
Everyone seemed to love the views from this hotel. While rooms here do boast balconies, many were keen to note that the vista from the breakfast area - also located on a terrace - was especially impressive.
positive:
Clean rooms, helpful reception team
The rooms here are basic, but clean, and many visitors were impressed by the fact that they appeared to be serviced once a day. Additionally, this property's reception team is friendly and helpful, offering local tips and helping guests to book excursions and local sightseeing trips.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Tiny bathrooms and cold showers
While the rooms are perfectly serviceable, guests were less than impressed by this property's absolutely tiny bathrooms. Some felt that a refurbishment of these facilities was well overdue, while others were more concerned by a lack of hot water, which seemed to be a regular occurrence here.
negative:
Noise is a problem
Many guests also commented that noise - both from the street as well as from a colony of feral cats that inhabit an adjacent rooftop - is a problem here. This unfortunately did have an adverse impact on the sleep quality of a number of guests.
negative:
Steep stairs
There is a lift here, but for some reason, many guests reported having to struggle up a set of steep steps with their luggage in order to get into their rooms.
