Negative Reviews
negative:
Hotel Needs Updating
This building is 400 years old and it's showing many signs of age. The staircase is rickety and will be a problem for those with mobility issues. Better attention to cleanliness is needed throughout, and general, guests say the facility feels rundown. Low beams and ceilings make it difficult to manneuver for a tall person, and the entire place can use a lick of paint.

Some Noise Issues
Walls are a bit thin at this hotel and you'll like hear your neighbours as they talk and move about their room. Rooms over the pub can be especially noisy. Bring earplugs.
negative:
Poor Lighting
Rooms are in need of more lighting, as some bulbs are altogether missing from lights, making it very hard to see well. Guests would also like to have a bedside light for reading at night.
