The Saturnia Pian Di Cataverna farmhouse, originally a small farm typical of the Maremma region, has been restored with care and respect for its original architectural structure, preserving the Tuscan rural home’s peculiarities. It is situated 2 km from the Saturnia Hotsprings and Waterfalls in a panoramic position from which you can enjoy a wonderful view of the surrounding hills and the incredible Tuscan sunsets in the shadow of our arched porch made of stones and wood. There are two different buildings, the older faces onto a panoramic wheat field and the latter onto a courtyard with colourful flower beds. There are ten bedrooms, each with its own entrance (including one for the disabled) and sleeping from 1 to 3 people, and where you can find TV, air-conditioning, independent heating system, fridge, bed linen and bath towels. The apartments vary in size and most of them have wooden beamed ceilings and terracotta floors. The breakfast is included in the price. It will be a pleasure for Cristina and his family, who live close to the farmhouse, to welcome and take care of you where you can enjoy a holiday of history, culture, relaxation and good Tuscan food and wine. In fact this area of Tuscany is important for its Etruscan legacy and Roman history, and nearby towns that you can visit to see this amazing heritage are Sorano, Pitigliano, Sovana and Saturnia – all important Etruscan and medieval centres. Here you can enjoy the peace, in contact with nature, on a veritable farm holiday, where agriculture is still uncontaminated and carried out as it has been for centuries.
