Bed & Breakfast Merrill Farm Inn (North Conway, USA)

Though a fairly simple gesture, the freshly baked warm cookies that the hotel put out for guests in the afternoons were clearly a hit with those feeling a little hungry between lunch and dinner time.

Guests simply couldn’t say enough good things about the staff. They were said to display genuine warmth and friendliness and made guests feel exceptionally welcome at the resort.

Guests really liked the tranquility of the location. It seemed to help them relax and unwind, after what for many had been some stressful periods of city life. The outlook from the property down to the river was said to be especially lovely.

It was near impossible to find a good word written about the breakfast. The resort describes it as a continental breakfast, and guests mentioned that they found it very poor, even for such a breakfast. There was said to be very little variety, and what little there was described as poorly prepared and presented, or worse, directly out of a packet.

A number of guests reported that many parts of the hotel were looking a bit odd when the lighting was on. Many speculated that it was because of low energy bubs that were used. But whatever the reason, guests felt a bit uncomfortable in what they considered odd and unnatural lighting conditions.

There were quite a few complaints about the Wi-Fi being poor, or even unavailable. This was compounded by the poor or non-existent cell phone coverage in the area. Guests must be prepared for periods of total connectivity blackouts.
