Edge of Town

Stari Grad can easily be reached within a 20-minute walk, a five-minute ferry ride, or a three-minute car ride. Most guests also found the hotel convenient to the ferry port. And of course, the beachfront location yields to beautiful views.

Too Hot
There is no air conditioning within the rooms and no fan either. Guests say that on hot days, the rooms can become very stuffy and tough to sleep in. Fortunately, you can open the windows to allow a breeze.

Mediocre Meals
Guests were pretty disappointed with the food offerings and the breakfast choices. The selections are average and nothing special. In addition, the dining areas can get very crowded, and items that run out in the buffet are not always replenished quickly.

Needing Refurbishment
Arkada is an old fashioned hotel and many guests found the rooms and facilities to be simply old. Reviews say that the rooms are not well-kept, the furniture appears old and various parts of the hotel need refurbishment. In addition, guests also found the lack of outlets in the rooms inconvenient.
